Weekly Photo Challenge: Delta

“This week, share a photograph that signifies transitions and change to you. It can be the very beginning of a phase, or the very end. As you pick up your lens, explore the ways in which a single photograph can express time, while only showing us a small portion of any given moment.” – Erica V.

I kept returning to this spot over and over again. I was in Punta Gorda, Florida for about 18 hours back in April as part of my Coach training. I took this picture as a reminder of all I learned there, and that I was leaving that place with a new calling to answer.

The bridge on the left is southbound…from where I came and who I once was.

The bridge on the left is northbound…where I would be going and who I would become.

My spot for my transition, my change, my delta.

Day 10 – First Celebrity Crush

All About Pirates

My all-time favorite movie is…The Pirate Movie!!! It’s a 1982 musical spoof of the Pirates of Penzance. It’s completely corny but I love every minute of it to this day. The leading actor is Christopher Atkins and I guess he was probably my first celebrity crush. If not him, then Harrison Ford for sure.

So tonight my daughters and I did our first Trunk or Treat at the church across the street from our church. It also happens to be where I am working now…at their preschool. I told all of the kids that we would be the pumpkin pirates – to keep it fun and not so scary. Twenty-bucks-at-Dollar-Tree later and we have my post covering the Photo Challenge: Transmogrify.

Enjoy!!! We definitely did!!!

I’ve Got Wood : Weekly Photo Challenge

I’ve missed participating in the Weekly Photo Challenge! So happy to be back! 🙂

This week’s challenge is all about curves and I absolutely love the curves  found on, around, within, and because of… trees. The heart-shaped fire wood, the sloping snow-covered limbs curving in the same direction as the road, and the contrast of dead wood intruding on yet another gorgeous Florida sunset – all things that could end up in my camera.
