Anything But Empty

When I first looked at today’s Daily Prompt, my mind kinda went blank. Nothing in my life is empty right now. My hubby is at work…doing a job he loves. My oldest works two jobs and is busy planning his wedding and the other three kids are occupying their time separately throughout the house. I’m sitting at my desk and writing. We’ve got some Green Day rocking for background noise and tonight the five of us are serving at church tonight – jazz/poetry night with the middle school kids.

My plate is full. However, there are families all over the world that can’t say the same. I think about them daily – especially the ones I sponsor. My sponsor kids are in communities that are in their final stages of development though, so they are getting closer to self-sustainability and that is a wonderful thing. Oh hey, today is Wednesday and I was talking about talking about World Vision on Wednesdays, wasn’t I? I guess I got to sneak that one in there…lol!

Nonetheless, I am very grateful for the things and people in my life right now. There are a lot of horrible things going on in this world, but I’m glad that being empty isn’t one of those problems for us. I pray it stays that way. 😉 For those that are feeling empty…I’ll be praying for you too! 🙂

  1. I liked this, and got your point(s), but being empty is not alway a bad thing. Sometimes it’s a very good thing.

Just depends on why, and for how long…
