Daily Prompt: One More Time

It’s been a long time since I’ve answered a Daily Prompt and I’m not exactly sure what to say. The past twelve months have been really difficult…and that’s me being nice about it. It’s been rough and my perspective has shifted more than once since last November.

That’s basically why I completely ditched my other site and created this one. So much has changed and so much has happened…I feel more like a crusty monkey than just sitting and chilling Under the Monkey Tree. I’ll continue to write more about all of that, but not tonight.

Here’s the question I want to answer today: If you were able to relive one day from the last 12 months, which day would it be — and why?

The one day I would want to relive happened just a short time ago – nine days to be exact!

I spent the day in Seattle with some of my best friends. We laughed together, cried together, and loved together. I’ve been to Seattle five times now and it is still one of my favorite places on the planet. (Not that I’ve been to a lot of places, but so far…) I love the people. I love the feel of walking down the busy streets, and the view out of my tenth floor hotel room of Pike Street was awesome!

I was there for a conference and we spent the whole weekend learning about things that break our hearts. More on that in another post…

Anyhow, I would love to relive that day because it was such a wonderful experience. After all of the ups and downs I’ve gone through in the past twelve months, I really needed to get away and feel that Pacific Northwest breeze on my face. I will have those memories forever and next year I’m taking the whole family to conference with me! (Even if it’s not in Seattle!)
